The Rational Dress Society presents “Making Our Own JUMPSUITS” at Flux Factory, Long Island City, in conjunction with the exhibition “Utopia School.”

In this workshop we spend a full day learning to construct our own JUMPSUITS, following the pattern designed by Abigail Glaum-Lathbury. By the end of the class, each student will have a wearable, unisex monogarment that can replace all other clothes in perpetuity. What if you never had to go shopping again? What bonds might be formed between JUMPSUIT-wearing individuals? All students should bring a minimum of 3 yards of non-stretch woven fabric (such as denim, twill or duck cloth.)
