AND FINALLY …
If you largely ignored Fashion Week, then we have the outfit for you:
Two jumpsuits popped up last week outside Lincoln Center, as it enjoyed its last year at the center of the fanfare.
They were worn by the independent designers Abigail Glaum-Lathbury and Maura Brewer, who go by the name the Rational Dress Society.
Their project, Jumpsuit, presents a tempting proposition: “What if you never had to choose another outfit again?”
They’re selling the outfits, available in black and white, for $150, online.
The designers describe it as “an experiment in counter fashion” and “an alternative to the relentless forward motion of fashion.”
Ms. Glaum-Lathbury and Ms. Brewer held their banner aloft for a few minutes, as well-heeled guests and paparazzi crossed the plaza outside Lincoln Center.
Then they were shooed away by guards.
